2020 Cayenne Downshift Issues Low Speeds
Hey, I'm new to the forum. This is my 1st Porsche.
I just got a 2020 Cayenne (base model). When downshifting (especially from 2 to 1), the car "jerks" forward. This is most noticeable at 12 mphs as the RPMs go from 900 to 1200 even if I'm on the brake. It happens at 3 to 2, but 2 to 1 is more pronounced. When braking at low speeds the car seems like it's "fighting" the shift. To compensate, I've been braking harder. I can't believe this is the way Porsche intends the transmission to operate.
Porsche advised that: (1) this is "the way it is" and (2) all the Cayenne models have this "feature" and will "improve" over time as it is a smart transmission that adapts to your driving.
I've seen a few similar posts on Rennlist.
Is something I should make a stink over or is this just "the way it is".
