Upgrading my Rims/Tires

I've always felt that the stock 18" and associated rims on my stock 2009 Porsche Cayenne S v8 are too small.

What are the considerations I must make when upgrading my tires/rims to a larger and wider ones?

Is there a limit to size increases? If so, what are they?

What about the electronic recalibration to a larger set?

Help is much appreciated.

You can go with 19 or 20" wheels with no problem, they are optional or standard on the Cayennes, just make sure you use the correct offset. As for tire size, either go with the stock size for the wheel size you choose or move up one or two sizes and adjust the aspect ratio in order to keep the overall diameter close to the 18" setup on your car. I believe the sticker on your door jamb will tell you the size tires for the various wheel sizes, or else the owner's manual.

I just sold my Cayenne S with the stock 18's, but I also had a set of 21" Cayenne GTS rims on it and they worked fine. I still have them and they're for sale with lightly used Pirelli P-zeros on them. The rims originally sold for $5500, I'd like to get $3000 for them with the tires.
