Hidden Winch Mount

Thought some of you might be interested in my custom hidden winch mount. I have a 9k lb winch with synthetic line mounted to the front frame and completely hidden behind the front bumper.

I did the design work and had a local shop perform the fabrication. I have had several sets made for others to use to do the same install. As far as customization, it requires one to cut the front crashbar and install the winch mount in the middle between the frame rails. Likewise, the mount attaches around the front crumple zones to reinforce those so the force of winching is directly on the main frame.

Oh yes, it has definitely been used in the recovery of others...the Albino Hippo has yet to be stuck

It should work with no issues on any of this Gen Cayenne. They all use the same front crashbar.
