Thumbs down Surround Camera System

I have a 2019 Cayenne Hybrid with surround camera system. Only 10,000 miles and all and/or some cameras started intermittently failing at about 8,000 miles. Amazingly, the cameras failed while the dealer was troubleshooting my car. After checking all cable connections, Porsche told them to replace all cameras so that a firmware update would be possible. Seems that the original cameras were not capable of accepting the firmware update (really poor software engineering).

After waiting several weeks for replacement cameras to arrive from Germany, they were installed this week and software/firmware was supposedly updated. Next day after car was returned to me the cameras failed again. Once with all 4 failing and once with only the rear camera failing. Shutting off, locking car and restarting car some time afterwards seems to restore the cameras.

The car is going in for troubleshooting this week and I will update this post afterwards. Unfortunately dealers cannot attempt to get preliminary tech support from Porsche without the car being in their possession.

My dealer has never experienced this problem before. I was not able to find any other information on the web except for the Macanforum.com site where other Macan owners and one Cayenne owner have reported this problem. No one has received a solution for this problem.

I would greatly appreciate any other information pertaining to this frustrating problem that can be shared.

Status update - cameras were replaced, firmware/software updated, camera control module replaced and wiring checked. Still no solution to intermittent failures. Dealer insists on car being brought in so he can keep charging Porsche for warranty services and refuses to escalate this to a district manager. I will attempt to speak with someone at Porsche directly and I will also call multiple dealer service managers for any possible guidance.
