Am specing out a new 2019 Porsche Cayenne

Am specing out a new 2019 Porsche Cayenne for my wife and me. Here's the current thinking on the build:

Any feedback is appreciated.

Hi!

I have a 2019 Cayenne in the same color you chose! I get compliments all the time.

I don’t think you need the dash compass as you can put a compass in the right-most position of the instrument cluster.

Also, consider larger wheels as you will get painted trim around the wheel wells instead of cheap black plastic. I am still kicking myself over this! Otherwise, your is a great build.

I got 7% off MSRP in NJ, just for reference.

I also have a 2018 base Macan, and my baby, a 2014 Boxster S in dark blue metallic.

Upgrade the sound system from Bose to Burmester. You'll never regret it. The improvement is well worth it, while in my view it's not worth the money to upgrade from the base sound system to the Bose.

Looks good but I definitely agree with the suggestion to get bigger wheels. I am returning a 2017 macan with 19 wheels and the whole time I owned the car I regretted not having the bigger wheels. If you get 21 they paint the wheel well trim. You can see this in the configuration, although very subtle. Also, the 21 wheels look more visually proportioned to the vehicle.

I too just ordered a 2019 cayenne in the biscayne blue. Its my favorite color. One thing I did differently was added the two-tone leather package. I have it in my macan and love it. However, it adds $6k.

Good luck and enjoy your new car!

I couldn't open up what you ordered on your Cayenne so I apologize if what I'm saying is redundant. Agree with the bigger wheels. Would go with the 21's and not the 22's for a quieter ride. I have the 21's on my Macan and love them but adds road noise. Agree with the Burmester comment. I have that in my Macan and it's one of the best sounding car audio systems without having a audio shop build one for you. I have the Bose in a 718-ugh (do not like the sound of it.) I love the PASM (air suspension) and highly recommend it. A friend who has a dealership and spends time at the track told me that I won't be able to tell the difference of having PDCC (chases control) and PTV (torq vectoring) unless I'm racing or really driving curvy roads. I do have both on my Macan and ordered the Cayenne with only the PDCC. Highly recommend the white surface coated brakes. They eliminate a great deal of brake dust. Other than aesthetics, nice to have's with Porsche are their Premium and Assistance packages.
