White glovebox flashlight repair

I looked through five pages of posts and could not find something but I found it here, thought to share it.

https://surfncircuits.com/2017/07/23...ox-flashlight/

The person also states this light is always charging so it would always draw down the battery, or be parasitic.

Has anyone ever installed a solenoid to keep the circuit off when the key is off?

And if anything, you will be able to fix my flashlight? I'm just a very clumsy person. I crushed my old flashlight. It first fell out of my hands and then I accidentally stepped on it. And on my birthday (it was two days ago), my wife gave me a flashlight. It is shockproof and waterproof. Specially for me. You can see how it looks at

. And I'm sure I'll break it somehow. I'm just a very unlucky person. So just in case I'm looking repair for my new flashlight.
