As you said, it's insurance, and you are paying the insurance company to share the risk. It's your call about what that's worth to you.
That said, it's a Profit Center for the dealership, and you can probably drive a hard bargain to have them throw it in the overall deal at somewhere around half price. Use it as a closing tool - "I'll buy if you throw it in."

Bought both. Replaced two tires already and repaired one wheel with curb rash. So it has paid for itself already.
Won’t be able to tell about the windows until it warms up.

I'm usually the guy that never buys the add on insurance but years ago a friend told me to get the tire and wheel protection. Six years later and 6-8 tire replacements, I'm glad I did. But I'm also in a large city with a lot of construction. Lastly, do you have all season tires that can be patched or are you going with a lower profile that's best not to patch? As far as coatings on a car, it's your call. I'm a fan of a ceramic or polymer sealant but you have to be careful who applies and what they tell you. I have found that a paint/glass coating will typically last 18-24 months if you keep your car in a garage. (They might tell you 3-5 yrs) It's a coating (like wax) with a longer life and a bit different shine. Some people like it and some do not. Like wax, it will not prevent rock chips/door dings/etc. And of course, you have to maintain the paint/glass/wheels with a quality soap, proper towels to dry, a detailer. spray. Again, some people enjoy this and some don't. I'm not familiar with simonize but at Hennessy in Atlanta, they treat their cars with Resistall. I've had 3 cars from them and my 6 yr old car looks like it just came off the showroom floor.

If you are (or will be) using RFTs, this may be the one item that may actually work in your favor. Especially given the notorious "bubble" that can be caused from impact due to poor road surfaces. If you happen to be outside your local area, check on pricing with a dealer in that area - they may be more aggressive on pricing as they wouldn't be doing the actual replacements.
I also had similar situation when i bought my 2019 cayenne but i didn’t pick the tires and wheel insurance because my insurance company already cover them, it’s good company i already insure 2 other cars with them, i knew them when i had a horrible accident on my upgraded Toyota and my old insurance company didn't pay me for the add-on parts and i had to fix it on my own. After that i cancelled my insurance with them and had to find another company with good reputation, my friend has experience working with insurance companies recommend me to call car insurance Lowell he said he insured his 3 cars with them and they were really nice and paying easily and cover absolutely all your expenses and since that i only deal with them only.
