Looking for some help in going from an 11 turbo to a 14 turbo s. On paper it seems to be a wash for 50 hp and similar torque. That said, the guy I am thinking of buying (I know) from says there is a noticeable difference and worth it?

I am going to drive it of course. Hard to sum up a difference on a test drive, I am thinking.

Anyone else jump from a turbo to turbo s and willing to provide some feedback. Thank you.

I have a '16 Turbo S and I feel the power is addictive. That said, if you look at tuning options, the end result is the same no matter which version you started with, Turbo or Turbo S. So, you could keep your Turbo and tune it?

Appreciate the feedback and I should have said I have a tune and modified exhaust, so you are right, power is addictive. I am very happy with the performance, even before the tune. I was kind of looking at it from a complete package perspective, if that makes sense.

Agreed, cant see spending 10 to 12K more for it. Unless money was not an object, which it is for me.

It might be a passion for some people, but I realize exactly how little I use all the performance my '11 turbo offers me already and have to ask if I'd ever use the /S extra power. I really rather doubt it. I find it more fun taking out my Boxster and wringing it out - and not risking my license doing it than I do taking out the Turbo and maxing it out.

Different strokes, different folks.

I get it. HP is like a drug to me. I have a tune and removed the suitcase muffler. Performance was there before the tune, etc. I do have to keep myself in check. I guess I'm just the type of person that would go for the 911 turbo s, vs the 911 turbo, given of course I were able to. Appreciate the feedback.

Just a thought - Porsche did sell a performance kit for the early 958 turbo cars that gave it performance equivalent to the /S model that arrived later. Probably worth checking with a dealer as to the availability. it won't be cheap, but selling this perfectly good Turbo and buying a Turbo/S isn't going to be cheap either.
