The 2014 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S has made its debut in Detroit, bringing with it more power and an even heftier price tag compared to the standard model. Starting at $146,975, the Turbo S will deliver 550 hp and a manufacturer-estimated 0-60 mph time of 4.3 seconds when it goes on sale this spring.

As we previously reported, the same twin-turbo 4.8-liter V-8 found in the standard Cayenne turbo also powers the top-of-the-line model, tuned with an additional 50 hp. With that kind of power on tap, the Cayenne Turbo S is capable of a top speed of 175 mph, according to Porsche. The model receives Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, and the Sport Chrono package as standard.

For looks, the Cayenne Turbo S gets standard 21-inch 911 Turbo II wheels - a set of alloys that Porsche says is exclusive to the flagship SUV, despite what the name suggests. Also helping to set the Cayenne Turbo S apart from lesser models are its large front air intakes and quad-tipped sport exhaust system.

With the standard 2013 Porsche Cayenne Turbo priced starting at $109,725, the Turbo S commands a premium of more than $37,000. Do you think the added performance and exclusivity of the Cayenne Turbo S is worth it? Tell us in the comments below.
