Love my diesel but in the last few months it's developed a coolant leak. Took it to a local specialist and he said he spotted coolant in the valley but can't see where it's leaking from without s major teardown. Any there diesel owners with w similar problem? Any suggestions on the possible cause?

I just found your post. Yes, we have found a similar problem. Our engine was removed & an oil leak was fixed just prior to the warranty running out. We have 115,000 miles on ours.

I was over the warranty limit and paid around $11,000 to take out the engine and replace all the seals and issues. This price also included the water pump since we already had the engine out. Where I am in Florida, I could not find any non-Porsche dealer that would tackle the job. Since I plan on keeping the car for a long time I figured it was worth it and really did not have a alternative to not fix it.

I had a coolant leak on our 2013 diesel. It was in the valley at the top of the engine. Nothing ever reached the ground. I was able to confirm it by taping a little piece of cloth to a long screwdriver and probing into the area. The cloth was wet with coolant. Often its the ERG valve - which should be covered under your extended warranty. Had Porsche dealership tell me they didnt feel that was the case. Took it to an independent and they took it apart and replace the EGR valve. Went back to Porsche but they have refused to cover it. The idependant shop charged me $2800 for the repair.
