2014 Porsche Macan spied once again

The 2014 Porsche Macan has been spied while undergoing some cold weather testing.

The upcoming baby Cayenne will get a larger center grille, longer overhangs, a sloped back and will not have creases on the hood. The platform used for the Macan is basically borrowed from the Audi Q5 but the crossover will be sportier and more luxurious.

In terms of power, the engine lineup will probably include a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged mill with 220 hp (164 kW), a naturally-aspirated V6 3.6-liter with 295 hp (220 kW) and a possible twin-turbo V6 3.0-liter generating 370 hp (276 kW) for the Macan Turbo.

On the diesel front, a 2.0-liter TDI with 190 hp (142 kW) and a V6 3.0-liter TDI with 250 hp (186 kW) are expected. Porsche could also be planning a hybrid version with a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine and an electric motor providing an extra 54 hp (40 kW).

The Porsche Macan is set to enter production late this year and go on sale in early 2014.
