Hi Guys I am just on the brink of buying a porsche cayenne s 2004. It has done 97500 miles. I am worried does it need a cambelt change? Does it even have a cambelt?

if so should I still buy it? or is this an extortionate cost to have renewed?

Not sure about the cam belt. I was wondering the same thing myself. I just bought an 05 a month ago with 176,000 on it. It's not listed in the meticulous service records so that should set you at ease. It had a coolant leak at the back of the motor that I think was pretty common, it's a y pipe with and o ring that leaks because it's plastic. The replacement was metal, aluminum I think. Other than that I hav valve cover gaskets replaced and she's running great. I still baby it. I paid 9100.00 . Valve covers were 1900. At the dealer so I had it done for 700 elsewhere. Good luck. Even with all those miles, it is one nice riding and running vehicle.
