Happy to join the party.

I'm looking at a Cayenne to replace the 'family car' VW Touareg. We bought a Macan in 2019, and with no snobbery intended, Porsches are 'just better'.

So I've got it narrowed down to a Cayenne or Cayenne S. The garden variety Cayenne probably works fine as a 'grocery getter', but the PSCB brakes are hard to pass up. The Macan has never been in a carwash, but the wheels take about 2 hours to clean well.

So, are the PSCB wheels worth the lift? Maybe the Cayenne S is worth the lift all the way around.

I had the PSCB brakes on my Taycan Turbo, did not like them. They were great on dust and dirt, magically never made any, but in wet weather and other situations they felt as though they would glide/slide, instead of grab. A bit disconcerting at times. Now it doesn't rain much in LA, but still worried me. Also in full disclosure it may have been due in part due to the regen feature in the electric car, but not the wet braking that was a problem that I and many others had (all with Taycans).
