Hello there,
New to this forum - from Sydney Australia. Facing a very expensive repair to reseal a leaking upper sump of our 2014 Cayenne SUV Diesel. Many parts of the engine need to be dismantled, I'm told - will take over 30 hours of labour and cost around Aust$ 15K at the dealership. I am keen to find an independent Porsche specialist who will give a substantial saving on this expensive repair. A bit of online research revealed that this has been an inherent problem with the Cayenne - around this age. Pity I didn't do such research before buying one. Even the dealership told me that is is a common problem after warranty period. You simply don't expect Porsche engine to come loose like that in 10 years.

I would be thankful if anyone could share their experience with this problem and also recommend a reliable independent Porsche specialist in Sydney.

That’s a pretty expensive quoteSome people managed to get it fixed under the extended emission warranty…

Thanks a lot for sharing that thread with me. Clearly so many people have been affected by these leaks, even at very low km! Really didn't expect this from Porsche. It appears only in the USA these engine oil leaks have been covered by the warranty of the emissions fix. Good to know about this as I can try to get them to assess the disparity. If they offered to American customers why not to Aussies.
