Hello,

I have made up my mind that a Cayenne will be my next vehical. So my question is what are the common things that seam to pop up more frequently then other issues.

For example, I also have a BMW X5 4.4i. The issues that are discussed on my X5 forum are window regulators (windows get stuck down) stock AMP for the radio doesnt work...or sounds bad, the latch for the rear hatch get loose and rattles around, squeaky belt pullys, and the biggest one, Transmissions. (I was a victom of this, $3800 repair bill 2 weeks after I got it)

So what I'm looking for is an older modle like a 2004-2006. My budget is in the low $20k. So I was just looking for some friendly advise as to what to watch for when selectin my new (to me) Cayenne.

Radio reception

I was have bad radio reception and found this on Edmond's.

Turn the radio on. Push the button marked "Audio" then toggle down to "Traffic" and make sure that it is unchecked. Hope this is a fix for your poor reception.

I did this and now I have good radio reception. Just thought i would post it, don't think I can make new subjects as a new free member. So this look like a good spot. To place the information.

My 04 has an airbag light on. If I get it cleared comes back in a week.
And I have an 03 also and the tire monitoring faulty.
I would say both are just simple repairs, no big deal,
Oh the 04 has a noisy lazy suspension compressor, that is a common problem I hear.

Every 70K or so miles, expect on changing the drive shaft. It is a known issue in Toureg's, Q7, and Cayenne's. I just got my 05 CTT on 4/4/13 with about 65,8XX on it. Now at 68,XXX I need to replace it. $375 for the part through Colorado Drive Shaft and about $200 in labor I should be good to go.

Not my idea of spending money on improvements, but this is a must and known issue where they sell no upgraded part for this known issue.

Tape deck changer running

Can anyone tell which and where the fuse is for the tape deck changer in the back of my 2004 Cayenne S. When I turn off my key the tape deck changer keeps running for about 30 sec. and I have no tapes in it. I took the cartridge out. Sometimes when I open the door the deck starts turning or it sounds like it is running but nothing is turning that I can see or feel and the unit is hot like it has been running the whole time I have been driving. Has anyone else had this problem??

I would like to just take the fuse out and I will put it back in if I go on a trip and want to use it.

Any input would help

Can any one Help , was upgrading Reg Plate Lights came on then nothing tried old lights and nothing cayenne , Reg plate light not working on both , does the lights have a fuse and what fuse and number .

faulty headliner in porsche cayenne GTS

I have a 2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS with a Pan Roof. It's fitted with a retractable electric headliner which crumples when retracted. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so how do you fix it?
