New to Porsche and we love it, but as many cars they have there subtle nuances that take a little getting used to.

We have "Immobilizer Active" when trying to start the car. We had a recent wind storm here and the trash can banged into it pretty hard. We thought this set off the alarm or activated this Imoblizer.

How do we get this corrected? Is it something we can do or is it a dealership reset issue??

I was thinking dead battery in the key fob but ??????

I found this on another resource..."You cannot do anything. The remote is either internally failed or there is a fault in the Kessy Alarm module. You need the factory tester to reprogram the key and see if it will still work. This is the only way."

Any other options?
