She didn't know that the minute the car began to warn her that she needed coolant. I took it to a European car shop and he said that the engine has A LOT of damage and I need a new engine for about 8 thousand or fix certain parts that are now badly damaged. He said that for his labor it would cost 3 thousand and the needed parts would cost another 9 thousand dollars. I STILL owe 20 thousand for the car. I don't know what to do!! Should I buy a "new used" engine OR should I have him fix the badly damaged parts? OR can I tow it to a dealership and trade it in? Can someone PLEASE give me some sound advice? I don't know ANYTHING about cars OR the cost of fixing them. Does anyone have different options or ideas on how to go about getting this taken care of?

Hi Shawn, you have not stated what exactly happened to the engine or which "parts" were damaged. Give us details without the chaos :)
