Porsche 911 Club Coupe Special Edition Revealed

To celebrate 60 years of Porsche Clubs, the German automaker has released an extremely limited 911 Club Coupe, where the 12 lucky owners will be picked through a lottery.

But to even have the right to have a chance at purchasing one, you have to be a Porsche Club member and register before July 16th, 2012. 13 Club Coupes will be created in all, with one of them retained on behalf of Porsche Club World.

And why 13, you may ask? Four years after the first Porsche was ever built in 1948, the first Porsche Club was established in May 1952 with 13 members. For the 60th anniversary, Porsche decided to build 13 Club Coupes – one for each original member of the first Porsche Club.

There are officially 640 Porsche Clubs in 75 different countries around the world now, with a total of around 181,000 members. The rare Club Coupe won’t be cheap though, with an MSRP of $175,580 excluding sales tax.

What you will get though if you are so fortunate enough to win the drawing is a custom Brewster Green, Carrera S Powerkit-upgraded 430-hp 911. 20-inch SportTechno wheels adorn each corner of the car after being match-painted, while a SportDesign package gives the exterior subtle upgrades.

On the inside is an Espresso natural leather interior sporting contrasting stitching in Luxor Beige. To prove the Club Coupe’s authenticity, the switch panel trim strip will sport a logo crafted individually for each customer, along with illuminated door sills with the model designation and anniversary logo.
