PSM Fault, Start / Stop Deactivated

Hi,

Recently while driving I am getting randomly PSM Fault along with Start Stop function deactivated and Brake Distribution Fault all at once.
When I restart the car the faults are gone. The battery was fully charged last week with ctek charger, in order to eliminate the possibility of low voltage errors…

Today for first time I got the check engine light too along the other 3 faults and the engine started to run rough…

While having the faults I connected the icarsoft scanner and got this:

PSM Controller:
05228D
State: Current
Check DME fault memory content

and

DME Controller:
05220D
State: Current
Engine control unit, fault memory entries present

I was wondering if some wheel speed sensor is failing, so I pulled the live data from all four and they seemed to be working ok…

Sometimes I can feel something mechanical (it’s almost unnoticeable) happening in my right front wheel in the moment the faults show up…

Has anyone dealt with this problem?
Any suggestions which values should I check in the DME controller to clarify the issue?

The faults haven’t come back since then…
Still not sure what was the issue. I remember reading in rennlist that a faulty coil pack could cause that, but I can’t confirm it…

Just got the same faults again today. I attached the scanner right away but couldn’t find anything strange. Tested all wheel speed sensors and they were working. Checked the DME and there were no faults stored, so I am wondering why it says “Check DME fault memory content”…and “fault memory entries present”

I got the faults again today, this time including the Check Engine Light. Happened while starting the engine, I noticed that something felt strange, like missing a spark.
Hooked immediately the icarsoft scanner and surprisingly there wasn’t any faults in the Engine controller DME, the PSM stored the same “Check DME fault memory”. Cleared all faults and it was running fine…

I suspect it might indeed have something in common with the coils. I’ll replace all of them and post an update after…

I just hate when I can’t diagnose the issue correctly because it’s intermittent and I have to start the parts cannon… I am questioning the capabilities of the icarsoft too…

So I just removed the passenger side plastic covers of the engine and found chewed wires insulation next to the coolant tank… Non of the wires was actually cut through, but one of them holding on last bits of wire.

I’ll fix them and update if that was the culprit for all faults

I still haven’t changed them… I’ll clean all speed sensors first since they could get dirty and fail intermittently. Too bad there are no fault codes for them or the coils

Today I quickly sprayed the cayenne on a coin car wash because I got a bird poop on the window. Got all the faults right after that (check engine, psm fault, start/stop deactivated and brake distribution). I suppose it’s electrical issue somewhere at the wheel sensors. However my engine started running a little rough when the cel was on, which is weird if the issue was a speed sensor…

Hooked icarsoft again and there were no faults in the engine controller DME! PSM said to check the DME memory for faults and the AWD module said to check the PSM…
Took live data from all speed sensors and they were working fine…

I don’t know what to do about it, maybe try to use different scan tool…

Turned out I have bad coil.
Today it happened again including the check engine light with no faults in the controller. This time I found out that there is misfiring live data in the icarsoft tool and cylinder 4 was misfiring. I’ll order new coils and bolts and replace them next week
